Fine move by Hendry. Thank you Jim. Injury risk, yes. This, the year of World Series or bust is the year you make that move. Hindsight is always 20/20, but i like the high upside. We didn't give up much, IMHO. (spoken like a true Homer, lol) Unlike Sabathia's tryout with Milwaukee, we get to keep Harden for another year as well. Go Cubs!

Time for the Cubbies to fire up a win on Sunday primetime after dropping 3 in a row and 7 of 10. Marmol struggling. Eyre on DL. Z's arm troubling. Soriano hurt. Pinella saying 'I'm not worried'. Translation: He's worried.

It's been a magical season so far, as of yesterday we are officially 1/2 way done(81 games). Lots of games to play. The Cubs will be in it all year long, methinks, but can it happen without the requisite up-and-down torture for Cubbie faithful? Mariotti has already anointed the season, cause for concern?

The season is about a quarter of the way done, the weather is still hot-and cold, and the CUBS ARE IN FIRST! That's right. Soriano is getting hot. The other Chicago team is as well, we'll talk about that later down the road if it stays that way. Anyway, onto Houston for some more Cubbie magic. It's been a little slow at 4 Fans Sake,(we here forecasted the Cubs being bot last year, and made a big push), but things should be heating up in the not too distant future along with the weather.

Still looking for the weather to warm up(is it really mid-May already?), along with Soriano's bat. Our beloved Cubbies, if the season ended today, would capture the wild-card berth. Thirty-six games is a little early to project, but so far so good.

I'll be more active as the season moves along, and invite your comments, input, and support.
